JUST IN: Methodist Youth Celebrates Gov Seyi Makinde On Re-Election, Says, ‘You Are A Worthy Knight’
Methodist Youth Fellowship Archdiocese of Ibadan has described the outcome of Saturday’s governorship election in Oyo State, won by the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) candidate, Sir Engr Seyi Makinde as an expression of the will of the people through ballot.
It would be recalled that Gov Seyi Makinde is an awardee of Knight of John Wesley of Methodist Church Nigeria.
The Youth expressed confidence in the competence of Governor Makinde and described the win as a victory for democracy and the good governance in Oyo State.
The governor was described as a worthy Knight for laudable projects and policies put in place for the people of Oyo State home and abroad.
“We are not ashamed to associate with His Excellency as our worthy Knight, father and leader in Oyo State.
“Sir Makinde has represented the christian community and his family background well
“We the Youth Congratulate and Celebrate Sir Engr (Dr) Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde(KJW).
Our song in Church today was “Kasa Ma Dupe Loto” because it’s indeed praises to God for the conductive and peaceful Oyo State which we have today.
The statement was by The Rev Olumuyiwa Adebowale Obasan and Olusegun C. A. Taiwo on behalf of the Methodist Youth in Oyo State.
They hailed the people of Oyo State, describing them as true heroes of democracy for setting the pace in ensuring that their votes count and opening a new page in the electioneering process in Nigeria.
Methodist Youth Oyo State shall continue to support and pray for the governor in all ramifications for successful tenure with good health.
