BREAKING: FG, CBN, Bow To Pressure, Announces Grace Period For Phasing Out Of Old Naira Notes
Nigeria’s apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) on Sunday announced the decision to extend the deadline for Phasing Out Old Naira Notes Till February 10.
the breakdown however indicated that there will be a 7-day period of grace AFTER the notes cease to be legal tender for Nigerians to deposit them in the bank.
The announcement follows a meeting between Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele and Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari.
