National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, today, after paying a visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, declared that he was still Jagaban and very much around, contrary to some reports in the media that he was out of the country.
Tinubu while speaking to newsmen after his visit said he was at the Lagos State Government house to ask the governor if he ordered the attack on the protesters at the Lekki toll gate.
His words, “if he didn’t order the attack, who ordered the attack? That’s all I needed from him.”
Despite expressing solidarity with the protests, he decried the descent into crime it has resulted into.
Disputing allegations that he traveled out of the country, he said, “I didn’t go nowhere; I’m a Lagosian and I still hold the title of Asiwaju of Lagos and I am still a Jagaban”.
Some backlash have been recently directed towards the APC leader following the attacks on protesters in the state.
A television station, a newspaper house and other businesses allegedly owned by him have been razed by hoodlums following the incident at Lekki.
