Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Mr. Atedo Peterside, has resigned. In a notification signed by Cadbury Nigeria’s Company Secretary, Fola Akande, and sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, it was announced that the resignation took effect immediately. In other words, Mr Peterside resigned from the board effective 30th June 2020. He resigned in order to concentrate on other interests. Note that this brings to an end Atedo Peterside’s ten-year reign as the Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria’s board of directors. Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam who led the 3-man panel which presided over the case, unanimously dismissed the appeal at the request of the former APC national chairman on Tuesday June 30. Recall that Justice Danlami Senchi of an Abuja High Court had given effect to the suspension of Oshiomhole from his ward, on grounds of executives of Ward 10 in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State acting in line with the constitution of the party.

A bipartisan group of U.S. senators announced a move to limit President Donald Trump’s ability to withdraw troops from Germany by restricting taxpayer dollars. The six senators, including influential Republicans Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio, announced an amendment to the national defence spending legislation (NDAA) for fiscal year 2021 that would limit the use of funds for reducing troops in Germany. Abia issues EFCC seven days ultimatium to issue apology for sealing state property
The Government of Abia State on Monday issued the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a seven-day ultimatum to remove what it described as ‘offensive’ notices placed on some of its property, saying they are assets of the state government.
